Our leadership is comprised of Deborah Smith, James Lamb, MAI and Murray Huber, RM, CRP. We formed Criterion Property Consultants, LLC in February, 2021 and purchased the assets of Criterion Property Resources, Inc. effective March 1, 2021.
Debbie Smith
Debbie serves as the President of Criterion and has been in the property tax industry for over 40 years. She has experience in many different property types and all levels of appeal within the State Board of Equalization. Debbie began her career at the Tennessee State Division of Property Assessments in 1982. In 1984, she was employed by a former property tax consultation firm until she joined Criterion Property Resources, Inc. in 1990. Debbie worked for Criterion beginning in 1990 until purchasing the assets in March, 2021 along with Jimmy and Murray. Debbie is a Registered Taxpayer Agent for the State of Tennessee and currently sits on the Taxpayer Agent Regulatory Panel for the State Board of Equalization. James Lamb, MAI
Jimmy is a principal in Huber & Lamb Appraisal Group, Inc. Jimmy has been in the commercial real estate appraisal business for 39 years and has served as a Hearing Officer for property tax appeals for the Davidson County Board of Equalization for approximately 20 years. He has performed thousands of commercial appraisals throughout his career with many court appearances, including many for property tax appeal purposes.
Murray Huber, RM, CRP
Murray has been a residential appraiser for 44 years and has performed thousands of residential appraisals, some of which were used for property tax appeal purposes. Murray has also made many court appearances.
